dsat tecrec deep diver course - technical diving
after a while of thinking about, i will now do it: i will become a technical diver as well. therefore i will do the padi dsat tecrec deep diver course at udc with fran gutierrez. the technical deep diver course will allow me to plan and perform deep dives of 50 metres and beyond. these are decompression dives. the course itself takes 8 days. i am sure i will get the chance after the course to practice deep diving a bit more. i will write more about this course later. i start this course within the next days.
short trip to roatan planned
after the deep diver course, i will visit roatan island in honduras, which is not too far away from utila. this will be the first time for me to visit roatan. i will mos likely go there at the end of august. i will write more about this after the trip.
nacd full cave diver course in tulum, mexico
i am sure there is no better place on earth to do the nacd full cave diver course, than in tulum (mexico). that is why i am planning a 2 week trip to mexico at the beginning of september. the course will take 8 days. i will dive the world famous cenotes caves. more about this trip, when it is planned. i will do the course at xibalba dive centre.
getting on rotation at udc in september
in mid september, after the mexico trip, i will finally get on rotation at utila dive centre and work as a resident scuba diving instructor. i already teached and assisted som classes the last two months, but now this will be a big step for me. i cannot wait to teach at udc.
