360° panorama picture

the following picture is a 360° panorama view that i have created. it consists of 17 single pictures and is beeing merged using the freeware tools " hugin", " panotools" and " enblend" (hint: use tiff export with enblend option!). the pictures are taken on the "schafmatt" in switzerland.

high dynamic range imaging (hdri)

high dynamic range imaging (hdri) is a technology to create pictures that contain a greater dynamic range of exposures. that means that these pictures appear more "living" than normal digital pictures. the reason is that more intensity levels are contained in these pictures, than in the normal ones. read more on  wikipedia.org. normally 3 to 5 pictures are taken with different exposures. these pictures are then combined into one hdr-image using software. following you will find my first example.

the following picture is the hdr result image, generated with the really good tool " dynamic photo hdr". the picture consists of all the five originals above. it contains many more contrast details than the best of the originals.
